It’s never too early to start mapping out your holiday plans. Be sure to save the date for these League City family-friendly traditions and brand new holiday happenings in November and December.
Holiday Market at
Saturday, Nov. 9 | 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Enjoy a day of holiday shopping under the majestic oak trees of League Park on Saturday, November 9 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Shop local businesses, crafters, and vintage boutiques and enjoy lunch from a food truck. All proceeds will go to the League City Dog Park Association for additional enrichments at the Bark Park at Countryside and for the City’s second dog park to be built near Hometown Heroes Park.
Gingerbread House and
November 21 through January 1, 2020
The holiday season officially kicks off with the unveiling of Southshore Harbour Resort’s Gingerbread House display. Come take your holiday family photo in front of this free display in the lobby plus purchase some gingerbread cookies to benefit the League City Rotary Club.
Pet Photos with Santa and Sneak Preview of New Shelter
Friday, Nov. 22 | 7 to 9 p.m.
Dress to impress and walk the catwalk with your pet during a sneak preview and fundraiser for the new League City Animal Care and Adoption Center. Awards will be given for best dressed pet, best dressed owner/pet couple, and best pet holiday costume. Guests can get their pet’s photo with Santa and enjoy music, appetizers, and drinks from 7 to 9 p.m. Proceeds benefit the Friends of the League City Animal Shelter. Tickets on sale now!
November 22 and 23
A holiday classic and family favorite “The Nutcracker” comes to life thanks to the Bay Area Houston Ballet and Theater. Experience toy soldiers, dancing fairies, and the Land of Sweets in a whole new way by attending one or more of these events hosted at League City’s South Shore Harbour Resort.
Dinner and Slumber Party with Clara
Friday, Nov. 22
Characters from the classic ballet will entertain guests as they dine at the Paradise Reef Restaurant. After dinner, guests are treated to preview shopping in the Nutcracker Boutique. Guests staying overnight are invited to a pajama party in the penthouse with a hot chocolate bar and a special visit from the Sugar Plum Fairy. Tickets on sale now!

One of the sweetest events of the year for ages 2 to 92. Enjoy breakfast with the Sugar Plum Fairy, shop at the Nutcracker Boutique, see a preview of The Nutcracker, and have your photo taken with the characters. Reserve early for the best seats. Tickets on sale now!

Helen Hall Library
Families and patrons of all ages are invited to the City’s annual Holiday Open House at the Helen Hall Library from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Visit with Santa and enjoy holiday drinks and snacks before the City’s tree lighting in front for the library.

Holiday in the Park
December 6-8 | League Park
It just wouldn’t be the holidays without this League City tradition in League Park. Hosted by the League City Proud organization, this three-day event features shopping, entertainment, food, and the popular grand night parade on Saturday night. The theme of this year’s event is “Hats off to Frosty” in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the holiday classic cartoon. Spots are still available for vendors and for parade entries. Join the City’s Parks and Recreation Department for a yummy breakfast and fun activities from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. The cost is $15 for residents and $22.50 for non-residents. Registration begins November 6 for residents and November 20 for non-residents at this link.
58th Annual Christmas Boat Lane Parade
December 14 | Clear Lake Channel
The 58th annual Christmas Boat Lane Parade presented by the cities of League City, Clear Lake Shores, Kemah, Nassau Bay and Seabrook will be held on December 14, 2019 at 6 p.m. More than 60 boats will be featured in the parade on the Clear Lake channel. Viewing locations include South Shore Harbour Marina, Kemah Boardwalk, Nassau Bay Lagoon, Clear Lake Shores, and Constellation Pointe/Davis Rd. canal. Breakfast for Dinner
The League City Lions Club is showing their appreciation for the League City community by hosting complimentary “breakfast for dinner” on Friday, December 20 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Hometown Heroes Park. Come and enjoy a dinner of waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, grits, biscuits and gravy, fresh fruit, yogurt, and pastries.
